The Open Science Network of French Funding Agencies convenes in collaboration with UNESCO to advance open science across research funding. The network brings together the Agency for Ecological Transition (ADEME), the French National Research Agency (ANR), ANRS Emerging Infectious Diseases (ANRS-MIE), the National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety (ANSES), the National Cancer Institute (INCa), and the Foundation for Medical Research (FRM).
Hosted at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris (Room XI) on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, the meeting will address current and future challenges and define the network's 2026–2030 action plan, building on its 2024 roadmap and five priority actions: immediate open access, diverse open access publishing models, a common data management plan template, research assessment reform, and persistent unique identifiers. Discussions are framed by the priorities of the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space, the 2021 UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science, and the Bengaluru Roadmap on Diamond Open Access.
