Results from the CONTINUUM study, reported by Asher Chanan-Khan and colleagues in The Lancet Haematology,1 provide some important insight into the tolerability and efficacy of low-dose maintenance lenalidomide in patients with relapsed chronic lymphocytic leukaemia after induction therapy. However, the role of lenalidomide maintenance beyond first-line therapy for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia might be somewhat limited.
